My areas of interest and research include human geography with emphasis on economic geography, population health and Canadian political economy.

I am a human geographer who teaches regional geography of British Columbia and Canada, geographic information system (GIS) and research methods. My areas of interest and research include the application of GIS in socioeconomics issues, with particular focus on domestic violence, emergency planning, and urban agriculture.

I am a physical geographer who teaches courses in the areas of atmospheric science, earth
science, natural hazards, geographic information system (GIS), cartography and the regional
geography of British Columbia. Being a field hydrologist, I am interested in aspects of surface
hydrology and water management in various contexts, both local and global in scope.
