PARTNERS IN BUSINESS

KPU’s Partners In Business mandate is to provide students with real world, hands on experience as they progress through their education and to provide confidential consulting services to local businesses to assist them in providing recommendations and potential solutions to a business challenge or problem they have identified.

Business clients select the business discipline that their business challenge or problem falls into and completes a short online application outlining their project. The completed application is directed to the appropriate business discipline and becomes available to be matched up with an appropriate student team that is supervised by their course instructor.

The first 1-3 weeks at the start of each school term starting in September, January and May presents the best opportunity for this matching to occur. Ideally, applications should be completed and submitted 2-4 weeks prior to the start the term the business client wishes their project to be commenced.

Your business will typically receive a written report, an oral presentation or both where the key research findings and recommendations will be presented. Client exit surveys on the quality and professionalism of the completed reports is very positive with over 90% indicating they would use the program again. Over 80% would recommend the program to other businesses and found the recommendations very helpful in addressing their business challenge or problem.
