Statement of Completion in Bachelor of Arts Qualifying Year
BA QUALIFYING YEAR
DESCRIPTION
The BA Qualifying Year helps students improve English and Math skills to meet the entrance requirements of Kwantlen’s BA Program. Students who are successful in completing the BA Qualifying Year within two semesters and achieving the required grade level in English, Math and UNIV 1100 will receive guaranteed admission into a BA program, as a selective-entry student.
During the BA Qualifying Year, students are required to take UNIV 1100 — Introduction to University/College Studies, a student success skills course. Students will also be able to take university level courses for which they meet the prerequisite requirements. Students are encouraged to take elective courses that will fulfill other requirements for the BA Program.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
- English 12 with C grade or better or placement by the English Placement Test (EPT)
- Principles of Math 11 with P or better and ACP assessment
GRADUATION
Upon successful completion of this program, students are awarded a Statement of Completion and are guaranteed admission into the first year of the Bachelor of Arts.
