English Placement
All students who intend to enrol in a Creative Writing course at Kwantlen University College must present one of the following prior to registration:
English 12 or Literature 12 from within the last two years
Results of the Kwantlen University College English assessment test or the Language Proficiency Index (LPI).
This information will not be used to determine eligibility to enter Kwantlen University College, but rather to direct students to the courses best suited to their ability. Students with an identified serious weakness in writing will be directed to ENGL 0099 or other appropriate writing courses or to EASL courses.

Introduction to Creative Writing I
This course is an introduction to the art and practice of composing fiction and poetry.
Prerequisites: An English 12 grade B or higher or an exit grade of C or higher from ENGL 0099 or an APCE 0090 grade of C or higher or KUC English Assessment Test placement or LPI Essay 25 or higher or LPI Essay 24+EU #6

Introduction to Creative Writing II
This course continues to develop the art and practice of composing fiction and poetry and introduces the writing of drama
Prerequisites: A C+ or better in CRWR 1100, or equivalent, or permission of instructor

Drama, Fiction and Poetry I
This course is an open workshop in which students may pursue writing in the genre of their choice. In consultation with the instructor, each participant will undertake an individualized program of writing, reading, and revision.
Prerequisites: A C+ or better in CRWR 1110 or equivalent

Drama, Fiction and Poetry II
This course allows students to continue the work of CRWR 2300. It is an open workshop in which students may pursue writing in the genre of their choice. In consultation with the instructor, each participant will undertake an individualized program of writing, reading, and revision.
