Janitorial Operations and ProceduresStudents will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to enter building service work, including the operation of equipment and the correct application of chemicals. They will study the aspects of sanitation and cleaning including: carpet care and cleaning, fabric and wood furnishing and cleaning, equipment use, WHMIS, Basic First Aid and employability skills.

Self Employment in Building Service WorkStudents will learn how to operate a cleaning business. English language support will be provided for the program. Students will learn to design a business plan, and will study bondings and bids and customer service.
Prerequisites: Completion of SLEP test: SLEP level: 30BSWT 1101 cr-6.5
Workplace Language Skills for Building Service WorkerStudents will develop a structural knowledge of English by learning terminology relevant to building service work. They will participate in English upgrading skill areas such as: reading, writing, listening and speaking that will prepare them for building service work skills training.
