The Homestay Program offers a safe and affordable housing alternative for both domestic and international students. The program provides students with the opportunity to live in a household that is located near the Kwantlen campus they will be attending. Homestay students are provided with their own private bedroom, shared bathroom and in-home laundry facilities, and three meals a day including a packed lunch. In addition, students have access to household items such as a telephone*, television, and an entertainment centre at no additional cost.
All Homestay homes and household members are carefully screened and selected by the Homestay Coordinator through an in-home interview and inspection. The Coordinator will endeavour to match the student with a host family who shares similar interests. For example, a student who loves to swim may be placed with a family who owns a pool, a musical student may be placed with a family who enjoys playing music.
