IBT services assist students on income assistance to access courses and programs, find appropriate support, and to succeed at Kwantlen University College. IBT staff work with people at Kwantlen to make improvements for students on income assistance. They can also help in dealing with workers from other Ministries. Information and referral is provided to appropriate resources at Kwantlen as listed elsewhere in the calendar as well as in the community, such as advocacy groups or Training Consultants.
All students who are currently on income assistance or who have recently been on income assistance are encouraged to register at the Counselling and Advising Centre at any campus or at the Access Centres on the Newton and Richmond campuses. The Access Centres provide a variety of supports, services and information. Students are also welcome to contact the IBT Student Advocate, Louise Purchase at (604) 599-3063.
