Medical Terminology Level 1
Students will study and develop a basic knowledge of medical terminology by learning root words, prefixes, suffixes, pronunciation, definitions, abbreviation interpretation and spelling. They will learn the components of each body system and their functions, and identify normal and abnormal conditions. This is a useful course for refresher or upgrade for occupations in the various medical fields such as walk-in clinics, medical offices, hospital admitting, emergency, medical records, x-ray and labs.
Prerequisites: Grade 12 completion or equivalency and proficient in the use of the English Language.
