Dr. Briar Schulz
BSN (UBC), M.A. (Adler), Ph.D. (UVIC), Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)Dr. Briar Schulz’s career in the helping profession has spanned over twenty years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia. Briar’s professional nursing experience includes an extensive background in mental health and education. Her clinical experience focused on adolescents and young adults.
In addition, to being a Registered Nurse, Briar holds a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. Her doctorate degree is from the University of Victoria combining psychology, health and education. Briar is a registered clinical counsellor, and post-secondary professor in Counselling Psychology. She has supervised both psychiatric nursing and counselling students for over 10 years. Briar has received additional education through the University of St. Pauls in supervision clinicians in counselling. She is passionate in supporting students to succeed in their academic and career goals in addition to providing needed support for clients. Briar desires to assist all people in living authentic lives that recognize the unique potential that exists within all of us. She practices from a foundation of mutual client-counsellor and student-supervisor respect as integral to the counselling relationship.
