Erin Thrift is excited to join the KPU Counselling Psychology group in the Educational Studies department. Erin has a M.A. in Counselling Psychology and PhD in Educational Psychology. Her scholarship is interdisciplinary, critical, and historical. Most recently, she has examined the meaning and implications of the term “social justice” in psychological and educational contexts. Over the past two decades, Erin has taught at Simon Fraser University, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Athabasca University, University of British Columbia, and Douglas College. Outside of work, she has served as a board member for multiple community groups, and enjoys running with her dog, swimming, biking, riding horses, and backpacking with her family.
