Pedro dos Santos is a Sessional Instructor in the Department of Educational Studies, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Canada. He is also a Ph.D. Candidate in the Faculty of Education, Simon Fraser University, and his doctoral research examines the academic experiences of international students from Latin America in Canadian universities. A language educator for many years teaching in Canada and in Brazil, his research interests are academic literacies, academic socialization, international student mobility, (trans)languaging and trans-semiotizing.
