Dominic Giasson-Garcia
BFA, Visual Arts [Drawing & Painting]
As a kid, Dominic would consume sci-fi, fantasy books, comics, cartoons, and video games like they held the keys to the universe. Always with a sketchbook in hand and drawing constantly, he would eventually go on to study visual arts [drawing & painting].
His artistic trajectory took a major turn upon discovering Zbrush. Being able to breathe life into the imagined worlds of his youth had become very real. The possibilities of digital sculpture were immediately apparent, and with his long experience as a draftsman, he took naturally to his new 2.5d canvas. Dominic has been creating monsters, characters, and creatures ever since!
As an educator, he believes that providing mentorship with care and enthusiasm can change lives.
Dominic lives and works in beautiful British Columbia, though his heart will always belong to the prairies of Canada.
