Ana Gomes (Black)
Cert. de Scolarite (E.N.S.B.A.), B.A. (U.B.C.), M.F.A. (Rhode Island)Ana Black is a multidisciplinary artist working in new media, performance, video and photography. Ana Black Studied at the University of British Columbia, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts, Paris, France and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she received highest honours and the TC Colley Award for Excellence. Black is a former fellow of the Photography Institute at Columbia University, New York. Ana Black's work has been exhibited and published internationally. Her work has been archived at the Getty Research Institute at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles and she has also been the recipient of several national and international awards including a VADA Award from the Vancouver Foundation through the Contemporary Art Gallery and a Canada Council Grant.
