The 1st Annual Research & Knowledge Mobilization Day @ Kwantlen  will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 in conjunction with the 3rd Annual Sociology & Criminology Undergraduate Student Conference .

The theme of this year's Research Day is Inter- and Multi-Disciplinary Approaches To Polytechnic Education.

We invite members of all faculties, schools, and divisions to join us on this important day to celebrate research, knowledge mobilization, and scholarship at Kwantlen. 

The deadline to submit your proposals and suggestions for sessions and activities is Friday, September 27, 2013.

You can email your proposals to: ARSD@kpu.ca, or submit them online. Those interested in organizing prearranged sessions can submit their session proposals below.  To submit your prearranged session proposal online, please click here. 

You can submit your proposal under any of the following session formats: paper, poster, roundtable, performance and demonstration, symposium, or prearranged. Sessions can include faculty members only, students only, or faculty and students. For more information about the format of sessions, click here.

There are a number of grants available for students who are interested in doing original research. We encourage students to apply to these grants and present their research at the Annual Research & Knowledge Mobilization Day @ Kwantlen. The Student Led Research Grants initiative allows students the opportunity to apply their research skills to public policy issues. The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Ministry of Labour and Citizens' Services has provided one time funding grants to post secondary institutions in British Columbia to support student led research of benefit to a number of Ministries.

This initiative provides a great opportunity to conduct research on key social issues and to enrich our learning environment. Research supported by this initiative must address one or more of a number of policy issues identified by funder. For information on the policy issues students may address, please click here.
