Aboriginal Clean Energy Scholarship
BluEarth awards Aboriginal Clean Energy Scholarships (ACES) of up to $3,000 annually to Aboriginal students pursuing post-secondary education, including trade certification, diploma, degree programs, etc. Successful candidates will have an opportunity for an internship at the conclusion of their academic year and an opportunity to be partnered with a BluEarth team member who will act as a learning partner throughout their academic year. This award was designed to honour Dr. Marion Elder Grant's life-long commitment to education of women. Dr. Grant has an outstanding record of leadership as the 11th CFUW President (1949-52), CFUW Wolfville President, and Dean of Women and Professor of Psychology, Acadia University. The CFUW AWA will be granted for studies in specific programs of law, medicine, nurse practitioner or a Master's in Aboriginal Studies as outlined in the application instructions. Indspire is the largest supporter of Indigenous education outside the Federal Government. Kleanza Indigenous Language Revitalization Grant
This award promotes communities' self-determined language revitalization goals. Practicing ethical archaeology includes giving back to the communities with whom and where we work, and it is an honour to do so. The history, cultures and identities of Indigenous peoples are embodied and shared in their languages. The BC Scholarship Society (formerly the Irving K Barber BC Scholarship Society) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2023 Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship Program! Over 100 Scholarships of $5,000 each will be available to students transferring between BC post-secondary institutions to complete their degrees. Changes to the eligibility criteria for the Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship this year include:
- Reduction in the number of transferrable credits required to apply (30 to 21 for one-year transferring students, and 54 to 45 for two-year transferring students)

On March 10, 2019, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed near Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, claiming the lives of all 157 people aboard. Victims represented 35 nationalities, including 18 Canadian citizens, as well as permanent residents and others with ties to Canada. The flight was en route to Nairobi, where many of the passengers were scheduled to take part in the United Nations environmental conference. On March 10, 2019, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed near Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, claiming the lives of all 157 people aboard. Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship
The BC Scholarship Society (formerly the Irving K Barber BC Scholarship Society) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2023 Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship Program! Changes to the eligibility criteria for the Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship this year include:
