Volunteer as a Student-Mentor

Apply to be a Student-Mentor at Melville during the Spring 2025 term.

Are you one of our Alumni, a senior Bachelor level student, a Post-Baccalaureate or Graduate Diploma student at Melville School of Business? Register below to become a Volunteer Student-Mentor. Make a difference and be remembered. Volunteer work is rewarding and provides us with great experiences. In addition, volunteer mentors may request a letter of reference to support future applications for awards or work opportunities.

We are providing comprehensive training and support to all our volunteers. Please select your preferred training time when you register.

For Bachelor Degree Student-Mentors:

Support and inspire students in a Melville School of Business program. 

Eligibility: Enrolled or graduated from a Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Technology at KPU. Students who have completed at least 70 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.00 (e.g. currently in 3rd year or later).

For All Other Business Diploma Student-Mentors:

Support and inspire students in a Melville School of Business diploma program. 

Eligibility: Enrolled or graduated from Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Computer Information Systems, Associate of Arts Degree in Economics, Diploma in General Business Studies, Diploma in Marketing Management, Diploma in Public Relations at KPU. Students who have completed at least 9 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.00 (i.e. in 2nd term or later, and credits in progress doesn't count).

For Post Baccalaureate and Graduate Diploma Student-Mentors:

Support and inspire new students who are stepping into their first term at KPU, in the same program as yours. Discuss resources, opportunities, and introduce them to what our school and university can offer.

Eligibility: Enrolled or graduated from a Post Baccalaureate or Graduate Diploma at KPU. Students who have completed at least 9 credits at the time of training (i.e. in 2nd term or later, and credits in progress doesn't count).

*Please note that there is no summer intake of new students of the Graduate Diplomas. Graduate Diploma mentors will only have mentees in the Spring and Fall terms.
