Colleen Dunbar has over a decade of experience in the public relations & communications industry. Starting her career in the nonprofit sector, Colleen learned how to tell stories with purpose. She’s served in both client-side and agency roles, representing international brands, including McDonald’s Canada, General Motors, and Nature’s Path Foods; she’s promoted favourite local events, such as the PNE and Vancouver Christmas Market; and she built the BC Parks Foundation communications program from the ground-up. During this time, Colleen and her teams won 10+ national and regional CPRS awards of excellence (and counting), driving impact for her brands and building meaningful relationships with their audiences through creative PR campaigns. But her main career highlight is landing earned media coverage in the New York Times. Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, public relations and marketing; a master’s degree in communication studies; and a diploma in adult education.
