University Qualifying Studies
Description
The University Qualifying Studies provides students with access to courses that will assist them in:
- Completing admission requirements for other university programs
- Upgrading specific skills and knowledge in English (reading, writing, spelling, etc.), math and science
To prepare for undergraduate or vocational program admission, students should review the program admission requirements of their intended program, and use the charts below to plan their University Qualifying Studies courses.
Students without sufficient course prerequisites to register in the University Qualifying Studies courses should consider the Adult Basic Education program.
Note: Completion of ENGQ 1098 (with a 'C' or higher) or placement into ENGQ 1099 meets the English language proficiency requirement for open admission and some selective entry programs. Refer to your program of interest for details.

Access to University Qualifying Studies depends on individual course prerequisites; students may qualify depending on previous academic experience and/or assessment.
