Content

Hands-on shop experience is the basis on which skills are developed in the program. This program is developed around the individual needs of students and these needs will determine its actual length. Students will require appropriate personal safety clothing and footwear.
The program is designed to accommodate past experience, and credit and/or advancement will be given to students who can demonstrate learned skills plus theoretical knowledge. Levels are completed in the order of C, B, and A. The course content is organized into modules to ensure maximum flexibility for individualized training. There are two types of modules in the welding program. Practical Modules (P-Modules) deal with actual practices of welding processes and Related Knowledge Modules (RK-Modules) deal with theoretical knowledge required to competently perform the welding processes.
