Intersectional Conversations on Gender-Based Violence within the Panjabi Diaspora

Please join Dr. Tara Lyons @taralyons, Seema Ahluwalia and Dr. Sunny Mangat @dr_sunnymangat @mangat_sunny for Intersectional conversations with Panjabi women who will speak to their experiences, knowledge and expertise about gender-based violence within the Panjabi communities they belong to. This diverse group of women belongs to the wider Panjabi community; however, their intersecting identities of gender, race, ethnicity, caste, class, sexuality, age, religion, and nationality provide for different lived experiences. The panel will come together to have conversations with one another and attendees about the interconnections contributing to gender-based violence.

Attendees and panelists will have opportunities to share their experiences and connect with each other, including during a Q&A session. There will be resources from local organizations available at the event.
