Visit Berlin, a historical German city where the past and present collide. Rather than just reading about it, go there, experience it first hand, and earn credit toward your degree all at the same time! Join Kwantlen’s Berlin Field School and travel and learn alongside your fellow classmates and Kwantlen faculty.
Students participating in the Berlin Field School can also choose to participate in the Paris Language Field School.
Schedule:
Classes at Kwantlen: May 1-May 19
Depart for Berlin: June 2
Return to Vancouver: June 17
Price:
The program fee is $1650 and includes accommodation, in-country transportation, field trips, breakfast each day and 80% of dinners. Flight, personal expenses, some meals and tuition are not included.
Classes Offered:
Classes are instructed by a Kwantlen Faculty member. Students can enrol in GERM 1100 and/or CUST 3300. Pre-requisites for CUST 3300: ENGL 1100 and (one of ENGL 1202 or ENGL 1204 or CRWR 1100 or FINA 1121) and 3 credits from any 2000-level course or higher. Students who are interested in joining the Field School who would like to take a different level of German should contact the instructor.
Highlights:
Day trips to Dresden, Postdam, and Stettin, Poland. Berlin Amazing Race contest!
