| Accommodation: | Accommodation for exchange students are typically guaranteed in one of the halls of residence, administered by Studentenwerk Giessen. Application for housing to be done before Jan 31 (spring semester) resp. Jul 31 (autumn semester). The www-link to be used follows the acceptance letter. |
| Cost of Living: | Approx 930 € per month, including about 403 € rent, food transportation, health insurance etc. Public transportation: Semester ticket (bus, train, etc for all Hesse) included in semester social fee of about 270 € per semester. |
| Visa Information: | Canadian Citizens do not need a visa to enter Germany. They must however apply for a residence permit within the first 90 days (costs around 50 Euros). |
