UMAP Opportunities:
1. Discovery Camp: Airlangga Adventure - Closed
- What: Universitas Airlangga is reopening opportunities for international students (non-Indonesian Citizens) to take part in AIRVENTURE 2024. This program will focus on preserving marine habitats with the theme "Protecting Marine Biodiversity". Through AIRVENTURE, participants are expected to be able to observe and explore the protection, preservation, management and restoration of biodiversity as natural resources that should be taking care for. This program raises an SDG theme, namely “Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss”

2. Summer course: Climate change, impacts and adaptation in the Tropical Andes, Colombia. - Closed
- What: This course is designed to present a comprehensive approach on climate change in the Tropical Andes of Colombia, through lectures on the geography of the Andes, its physical conditions (climate, atmospheric dynamics, glaciers, ecohydrology) and biotic aspects (ecosystems and vegetation), how these respond to climate change, and some of the adaptation strategies to be considered. It will be complemented with guided visits to representative places in Medellin and its surroundings, and a final field trip to a representative mountain area near the city of Manizales (National Park Los Nevados), to apply the theory from lectures and recognize scientific research conducted in the zone.

- What: FPT Summer Camp Program opens up a Summer paradise for students to enjoy unique cultural experiences as well as develop interpersonal skills. Program components are expertly curated to create a well-rounded journey for all international participants. to learn more here.

- What: The program has specially been designed for non-Thai participants to join; Projected based practical English usage, Activity based Thai language and culture studies, Cross cultural adventure, Thai Cultural Exploration and Corporate Visit, Volunteer project & Community Service, with Orientation & Certificate Awarding.

5. ADARM Summer Program, Thailand - Closed
- What: ADARM Summer Program exposes students to the international and multicultural learning and knowledge exchange system at AIT, and also to the culture and practices in Thailand with experiential learning on sustainable aquaculture production and aquatic resources management including innovation and advancements of the sector in South and Southeast Asian Countries.

2. Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany - Closed
- What: In-person International Summer School for Engineering students. More details can be found here. The program is intended for advanced undergraduate students in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering
- Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is February 27th 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline of March 23rd, 2024.
- When: July 8th - August 9th, 2024.
- Where: In person through the Munich University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany with excursions to Bavarian lake, Olympic memorials and beer garden.
- Who: This is for students in Engineering programs wanting an international experience in Germany.
- Cost: The program fee of €1,890 covers: tuition for the German Language and Culture class, two subject courses, the official cultural and social program, free internet access at the university and a welcome package. For students from partner universities, the fee is reduced to €1,750. Accommodation charges are €1,200 per person for 34 nights in a triple or quad bedroom. 3. University for the Creative Arts, UK - Closed
- What: In-person International Summer School. More details can be found here.
- Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is February 27th. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline.
- When: July 7th - July 20th or July 28th - August 10th
- Where: In person through the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, England with free Heathrow airport pick-up and excursions near London.
- Who: For anyone interested in art, design, multimedia film production, graphic design, fashion textiles, architecture, interior design, and creative studies.
- Cost: £2,400 (Early bird: £2,250) The costs include accommodation (catered), the academic program, materials, and weekly excursions. There will be optional extra excursions available for students that will be explained upon arrival.
4. University of Guanajuato, Mexico - Closed

5. Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Brazil - CLOSED
- What: Program taught in English for science students revolving around Water Management, Sustainability and Pollution.
- Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is January 29th 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University
- When: May 2nd - June 21st
- Where: In Person at the University of Mackenzie in São Paulo
- Who: This is for students interested in understanding the environmental, social and technical impacts of pollution and treatment.

6. Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences, Germany - CLOSED
- What: In-person International Summer School for Engineering students. The program is intended for advanced undergraduate students in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. More details are on the website here and in the pamphlet here .
- Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is January 29th 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline of January 31st, 2024.
- When: July 25th - August 18th, 2024.
- Where: In person through the Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences in Giessen
- Who: This is for students in Engineering programs wanting an international experience in Germany.
- Cost: No tuition when nominated from KPU. You just need to pay a small participation fee, for transportation, accommodation, and personal expenses.
7. Toulouse Business School (TBS), France & Spain or Slovenia - Closed
- What: In-person International Summer School. More details can be found on their website here and their brochure here.
- Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is April 9, 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline of April 15, 2024.
- When: For 6 weeks or opt out and just stay for 3 weeks.
- Where: Toulouse, France from June 12 - June 30th, 2024 then travel through the French Pyrenees to Spain to continue the program in Barcelona from July 3 - July 21, 2024
- Who: ALL PROGRAMS. Courses are mainly in business with some related to Design.

8. Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan - Closed
- What: Unique opportunity to learn Japanese language, history and culture with lectures in Japanese Language, Society and culture, and Buddhism. 9. HUFS Summer School, South Korea - Closed
- What: In-person International Summer School in South Korea. More details can be found here. 11. Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Summer Program 2024 - Closed
- What: This 14 day non-credit summer program in Beijing, China will allow KPU students with or without TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) background to join a KPU-only customized TCM summer program through Beijing University of Chinese Medicine’s Centre for International Chinese Language and TCM Education. The Chinese Medicine Experience Centre provides an opportunity for visitors to learn about the TCM culture. For more details see their brochure here.

- Where: In-person in Beijing, China
- Who: For KPU Faculty of Health Students with a TCM background or interested in TCM.
- Cost: This program is partially funded including: on-campus accommodation, food on campus and excursions. You are in charge of the following costs:

12. Toyo University, Japan - Closed
- What: The program includes intensive Japanese language for absolute beginners and culture classes. Participants will have the chance to learn with Toyo University Japanese students in interactive classes. Plus, we've got a field trip to Mt. 13. ICT Summer School at Metropolia, Finland - Closed
