Lorraine Guild
RN (Camosun), BScN (UVIC), MHS (Athabasca)Lorraine graduated with an Associate of Arts in Nursing (RN Diploma) in 1990 from Camosun College in Victoria, BC. She specialized in paediatrics and worked for 2 years before returning to UVIC to complete her BScN, graduating with distinction in 1999. She completed her Masters of Health Studies MHS August 2017.
She has worked for almost 20 years as a nurse in a myriad of positions including; paediatrics, paediatric homecare, peritoneal dialysis, acute care, palliative care, rehabilitation, gerontology and education. She is currently teaching theory and clinical courses in the HCAP Program as well as maintaining a casual status as a nurse at Peace Ach Hospital. Career aspirations include; teaching students collaboratively through leadership, support and mentoring to enter this exciting and rewarding healthcare profession with competence, confidence and compassion.
