Faculty of Health - April 2018 News


(Mon April 9th 2018) - To make the Health Care Assistant program more accessible, whilst keeping in line with the BC Health Care Registry and other educational institutes, we're changing the program's English requirements:

NEW REQUIREMENTS*

- BC English 11 with a minimum grade of B; or Communications 12 with a minimum grade of B.

* New requirements will be published in the 2018-19 Academic Calendar in June 2018.

Note: The new admission requirements only apply to applicants educated in an English-speaking environment for 7 non-consecutive years of elementary or secondary school, or applicants educated in an English-speaking environment for 4 consecutive years of secondary or post-secondary school. Applicants who were not educated in an English-speaking environment must still satisfy the IELTS, TOEFL or CAEL testing requirements in the 2017-18 HCAP Academic Calendar.


(Fri April 6th 2018) - KPU Health celebrated the graduation of it's latest HCAP students from the Health Care Assistant Program. Students proudly received their pins with family and friends looking on. Students will be invited to attend the official KPU Convocation for the Faculty of health on May 31st, where they will walk across the stage and receive their certificate.
