Jamie Lamont is a Co-Chair, and instructor in the academic horticulture program at The School of Horticulture at KPU. A graduate of Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2006 with a Horticulture Technology Diploma in Landscape Design, Jamie has over 18 years of experience running his own design build installation company. Since graduating from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2006 with a Landscape Design Installation Diploma, Jamie has continued to demonstrate his commitment to learning and furthering his skills.  In 2007 he became a Certified Horticulture Technician with both the Softscape and Hardscape Designations, 2009 a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture (#PN6790A), in 2014 an ISA Certified Tree Risk Assessor (TRAQ) and in 2016 achieved a Certificate of Qualification as a (Red Seal) Landscape Horticulturalist.

Jamie is also a member of the Landscape Advisory group at BCLNA (British Columbia Nursery and Landscape Association), The chair of the Provincial Landscape Awards of Excellence for the BCLNA.

Jamie’s interests include soccer, lacrosse, coaching, gardening, canoeing, camping, a husband and dad of three.
