KPU Brewing 10th Anniversary Collab Beer | Odyssey

KPU Brewing alumni, students, instructors, and industry partners came together to brew Odyssey Fresh Hop Pale Ale, a collaboration beer created in celebration of KPU Brewing's 10th anniversary, honouring a decade of exceptional education and community. 

Led by alumnus, Sebastian Peterson, co-founder of Curious Creatures Beer Co. and head of brewery operations at Fuggles Beer in Richmond, BC, Odyssey was made with fresh Krush hops, adding tropical notes of passionfruit, guava and candied lemon to this crushable, refreshing ale. ABV 5.2%

Sebastian developed the Curious Creatures brand and character featured on the label, Alfred, when he was developing his capstone project Signature Series beer in his final term of the Brewing and Brewery Operations Diploma. The Odyssey label pictures Alfred on a journey towards becoming a brewer and the artwork includes a nod to KPU's crest, featuring a merdoe creature at the end of the path. 

Odyssey was released on Oct. 17, 18 and 19 at the BC Craft Brewers Conference, Canada Beer Cup Gala, and BC Beer Awards held in New Westminster, and is available in 4-packs of tall cans at select liquor stores, as well as by the glass in various taprooms throughout the Lower Mainland. KPU will be doing a free tasting of Odyssey on Friday, Oct. 25 from 1:00-5:30 pm in the KPU Brew Lab brewery on the Langley campus.
