Neil Roberts

Neil joined the Department of Economics at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in January 2005.  He began his teaching career as a Sessional Instructor at Simon Fraser University in 2004.

His areas of teaching include Foundations of Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Macroeconomic Policy, Managerial Economics, Environmental Economics, Economics and Government, and Economics of Natural Resources.

Neil holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Simon Fraser University (1999) and a Master of Arts Degree from Simon Fraser University (2002).  His Master’s thesis was a cost-benefit analysis of the AirCare program in the Metro Vancouver region. His fields of specialization and interest include environmental economics, natural resource economics and game theory.

Neil grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, and left there in 1987.  He eventually settled down in Coquitlam in 1998.  As a parent of two boys, one gifted, one with Autism Spectrum Disorder, he is an active advocate for autism awareness.  He enjoys video games and RPGs, is a voracious reader, and dabbles in the art of cooking.
