Kwantlen's new BBA in Marketing Management degree program brings modern marketing skills

(METRO VANCOUVER, B.C.) Building on its exceptional programs and faculty, Kwantlen Polytechnic University School of Business launched a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing Management degree program which will provide graduates with fundamental marketing knowledge, contemporary applied marketing skills and key industry connections, preparing them for successful careers in business.

Accepting registration for classes starting September this year, the industry-driven BBA in Marketing Management program is offered at Kwantlen’s Surrey Campus at its launch, and will later become available to students at Richmond Campus. The program not only allows new students to become modern marketing specialists, but also enables marketing program alumni to further advance their careers as they learn the latest marketing skills in digital media.

Currently a marketing coordinator at a local hot tub company in Surrey, Kwantlen marketing diploma graduate Geoff Terpening finds the new program’s focus on web marketing and management to be very relevant to his job, which includes responsibilities like company website development and management as well as research, data analysis and strategic planning in the area of digital marketing.

Terpening’s employer, who will be sponsoring his study, places a high value in investing its staff and believes that Kwantlen’s new degree program will give Terpening the abilities to engage in online marketing and help the company build a strong presence on the web.

Expressing a high interest in enrolling in Kwantlen’s BBA in Marketing Management program, Terpening believes it will help him advance his career, “I am looking forward to learning about web strategies and gaining tools and resources that will help me create and implement better marketing strategies and practices over my career.”

Innovative marketing skills graduates will gain include:

  • Conduct the research necessary to make marketing management decisions by using contemporary web tools
  • Leverage the web and emerging technologies to market brands, products and services
