Metro Vancouver, BC … Gurpal Mann, men’s basketball and Rosalynn Chong, women’s badminton, are the Abbotsford Heat/KPU Eagles Athletes of the Week, for the week ending February 2, 2014.
Mann, a third year center from Delta, BC who led KPU Eagles men’s basketball team with 30 points, 18 total rebounds while playing 52 minutes. The Eagles (3-13) are still in the hunt for the sixth and final post season berth, with five games remaining.
Chong, Vancouver, BC, was one of the Eagles top badminton performers this past weekend in Kamloops, BC. Chong teamed up with Willine Kwee, Richmond, BC to finished 3rd in the Women’s Doubles play. The Eagles moved within six points of second place overall in the conference with their weekend performance.
