Metro Vancouver, B.C. – Student scientists are taking the stage at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Surrey campus this week.
In partnership with Simon Fraser University, KPU’s faculty of science and horticulture is pleased to host the eighth annual South Fraser Regional Science Fair on April 10 and 11 at KPU Surrey.
Approximately 140 students in grades 7 to 12 from more than 30 public and independent schools in Surrey and Delta will showcase their wealth of scientific knowledge through a variety of projects and experiments.
Each project will explore one of six categories: biotechnology, earth and environmental sciences, engineering and computing sciences, health sciences, life sciences, and physical and mathematical sciences.
Students will compete for up to eight positions to represent B.C. at the Canada-wide Science Fair to be held this year in Windsor, Ontario from May 10 to 17.
Members of the public and media are encouraged to view the projects in the Surrey campus gymnasium on Friday, April 11 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
