The Journal of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Community Development (JAFSCD) has published a free Food Systems Brief on the Institute for Sustainable Food Systems' (ISFS) recent work regarding farmland protection and food production potential in Surrey, BC. Researchers found that the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) in Surrey has immense potential to produce food for its residents and contribute to the local economy.
