Dia de los Muertos: Day of the Dead

One day before Hallowe'en, the Department of Modern Languages invited the Kwantlen community to this cultural celebration of Spanish icons that "commemorate the ancestors". People were encouraged to bring flowers, candles and/or momentos of loved ones to place on the altar. Free food (such as home-made empanadas) and drinks were served.
