Delta, BC - If you’re interested in the trades, learn everything you need to know and more at the 2015 Delta Trades & Technical Career Fair on Thursday, April 30.
The annual free event, held at Sungod Recreation Centre in North Delta, provides an opportunity for students, parents and the general public to explore trades and technical careers through hands-on, interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and speaking directly with experts in the field.
Participating for the third year in a row, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) will have exhibitors from:
- Appliance servicing
- Computer-aided drafting and design
- Farrier program
- Automotive repair
- Horticulture
- Physics
- Welding
- Plumbing
- Millwright
- Electrical
- Masonry
- Carpentry
- ACE-IT
The fair offers some 100 hands-on interactive exhibits, stage demonstrations, prizes and free access to professional assistance with resume writing, job interviews and online job searching. There will also be opportunities to apply for jobs on site.
