Punjabi 3301 student Harpreet Kaur Mandher received second prize in the annual Punjabi essay contest

The Harjit Kaur Sidhu Memorial Program is a celebration of Punjabi language and culture in BC, and is held annually at UBC's Department of Asian Studies in memory of a woman who shared such passions and commitments.  This program includes an essay contest open to all Punjabi students in secondary and postsecondary institutions in BC.  KPU's own Harpreet Kaur Mandher received second prize in the advanced category of this competition. Prizes will be awarded March 16 during the memorial program. On behalf of the Language and Cultures Department, congratulations Harpreet!!
