Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) has once again been named one of BC’s Top Employers.
KPU was chosen in 2023 for its family-friendly benefits including maternity and parental leave top-up. This includes up to a 75 per cent salary top-up for mothers and parental top-up for fathers and adoptive parents. The university’s option to phase-in a return to work was also highlighted.
“It is an honour to receive this recognition once again and it highlights that KPU is committed to enriching the work experience for our employees,” says Laurie Clancy, vice president of human resources at KPU.
KPU was also selected for:
- Helping employees plan for the future with benefit pension plans and retirement planning assistance.
- The perks of working in a campus work environment with outdoor seating, nearby walking trails and instructor-led workout classes.
The annual competition is organized by the editors of Canada’s Top Employers. The designation of BC’s Top Employer recognizes BC employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.
Some criteria employers are evaluated on include physical workplace, work atmosphere, benefits, employee communications, training and skills development and community involvement.
