A new partnership between Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Melville School of Business and a leading professional sustainability organization will boost career options for students committed to driving positive change.
Melville has entered an education partnership with the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) to connect classroom instruction to ISSP’s standard of sustainability excellence. The agreement supports students for a career in green business and facilitates recognized industry professional designations in sustainability.
“This is an exciting and new opportunity for our students to pursue industry recognized professional designations in sustainability,” says Jose Areekadan, associate dean at Melville. “Our new ISSP education partner status further aligns Melville School of Business to realize United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and continues our commitment to the UN Principles of Responsible Management Education.”
Melville is encouraging both students and faculty to earn credentials from the ISSP, particularly those in Melville’s Green Business Management and Sustainability graduate diploma program, which includes five green business specialty courses.
Designed with rigorous international standards in mind, these credentials provide third-party verification of competency in the profession.
KPU’s Melville School of Business offers 22 programs, including four post-baccalaureate diplomas, and is one of Western Canada’s largest undergraduate business schools, striving to develop strong business professionals who will lead organizations and shape business operations.
