A day in the life of a Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) student — that’s what prospective students were able to experience at KPU Discovery Days events in January and February.

Participants were invited to the Surrey, Langley and Richmond campuses to join mock classes and view demonstrations led by instructors. Programs highlighted in these classes included nursing, criminology, Entertainment Arts, accounting, physics and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

“It’s a day for students to explore programs they could potentially be interested in at post-secondary,” says Kathleen Briones, KPU Student Recruitment Coordinator.

KPU Discovery Days, organized by KPU’s Future Students’ Office, are open to anyone who is interested in experiencing KPU programs. Participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a university experience as well as connect with instructors and ask any questions they may have.

“We highlight specific programs unique to KPU’s Richmond, Surrey and Langley campuses so participants have the chance to experience a variety of programs offered at the university,” says Briones.

The next KPU Discovery Day event will take place at KPU Surrey on Friday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
