Program Details
Visit Paris, France to explore this dynamic urban environment and immerse yourself in multi-sensory design experiences. Then travel to Geneva, Switzerland, a world center for diplomacy and the home of many humanitarian organizations.
The affective quality of these global centers will be considered from a design perspective and will focus on the social, political, and ethical impacts of design practice.
Class sessions will be held on campus before and after the travel portion of the course. Pre-departure classes will focus on providing a solid foundation to understand the context within which we will be travelling (via research assignments, readings, etc.).
