Parking Permits

KPU offers both short-term (daily) parking and long-term parking permits (monthly, semester, or annual) at all campuses. Long-term permits offer significant savings over daily rates and are managed entirely online — no physical permit to display. Students, staff, and visitors with a valid SPARC accessibility permit are exempt from purchasing a parking permit. Motorcycles and scooters parked in designated stalls do not require a parking permit. For information on where to park, please see maps.

How It Works

To purchase a parking permit you will need your vehicle licence plate number and a valid credit or debit card. Your permit is registered to your plate — there is nothing to print or display in your vehicle.

Parking permits are valid across KPU Surrey, KPU Richmond, KPU Langley, & KPU Tech (Cloverdale).

Permits are valid for non-reserved stalls during regular university hours Monday to Friday, and for reserved stalls after 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and anytime on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is first-come, first-served — purchasing a permit does not guarantee a stall.

Permit Details by Type

Monthly Permits Monthly permits offer the most flexibility. They renew automatically on the 1st of each month until you cancel.

  • To avoid being charged for the following month, you must cancel before the 20th of the current month.
  • Cancellations after the 20th will be charged in full and are non-refundable.
  • Cancel anytime by logging into your Concord Parking account and setting an end date on your permit.
  • Permit holders are responsible for managing their own accounts.

Semester & Annual Permits Semester and annual permits do not renew automatically — you must repurchase at the start of each new term.

  • Semester permits cover Fall, Spring, or Summer terms individually.
  • Annual permits run September 1 to August 31 and become available approximately one week before the Fall semester starts.
  • Annual permits offer the best value for students parking regularly throughout the full academic year.
  • All permits are non-refundable in part or whole.
⚠ Monthly Permit Cancellation Deadline: Cancellations must be completed before the 20th of the month to prevent renewal for the following month. Monthly permits cancelled after the 20th will be charged in full and are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time through your Concord Parking account.
