“The Culture(s) of Capitalism”
Capitalism produces many things; not just iPhones and pipelines but forms of meaning, value, histor ical consciousness, cosmology, and political subjectivity. This course will explore the ethnographic complexity of this political-economic system as it unfolds in different times and places.
Prerequisites:
45 credits from courses at the 1100 level or higher, including both of (a) ANTH 1100 and (b) 3 ANTH credits.
