Areas of Interest

I have been teaching in the Department of Biology since 2017.  Prior to starting at KPU, I worked as a Registered Dietitian in health systems in Canada and the United States and as a CIHR postdoctoral fellow in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia where my research explored the influence of the food environment on the food preferences and choices of youth. I am passionate about working with health system and community partners to promote health and wellbeing. My current research focuses in population health, health equity, and food security.
