Areas of Interest
Emily loves all the weird and unusual biological organisms which often don't get the appreciation that they deserve. In her BSc. she worked in a Mycology lab, developing extraction techniques for DNA of chytrid fungi (water molds). Her MSc. focused on plant pathogens, especially fungal ones. Emily loves all fungi, plants, algae, and microbes; and she has experience in teaching labs related to these. She is also well versed in molecular techniques and often teaches genetics labs. Emily is always excited to share the amazing world of Biology (particularly of the often neglected) with my students!
