Jack van Duynhoven

Jack is a second-generation horticulturist with over 45 years of experience in the landscape industry.  He completed the Landscape Horticulture and Design Technician program at BCIT.  He went on to supplement his horticultural knowledge in Plant Physiology, Integrated Pest Management, and Environmental Studies with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences at SFU.  In his post-graduate work, Jack completed seed germination research trials for the BC Ministry of Forests.  He was one of the first to obtain a Canadian Certified Horticultural Technician Certificate in Maintenance.  Jack works in all facets of landscape design, installation, and maintenance, including pruning, IPM, lawn care, drainage, and irrigation. He is adept at both hand and CAD drawings, creating interactive 3D landscape walkthroughs which showcase biodiverse sustainable designs.  Jack’s passion for educating and promoting quality work in the horticulture industry has led him to teaching and consulting.
