Checklist For Success
Start Well - don't waste your free time early on!
- Do not miss your first classes! Its important for workload & understanding assignments.
- Get to know the Library well - get comfortable using resources before crunch time. Visit the Library's website for new students.
- Take an academic skills seminar (or a few) and work on improving your time management skills/habits.
Check out the Student/Campus Life website - Get involved!
- Get Involved! Add to your educational experience & make connections
- Join a club -- psychology, performing arts, blacksmithing and more!
- Check out athletics & recreation opportunities.
- Read the Chronicle and the Runner (Student newspapers)
- Attend a KSA event -- consider getting involved with student government.
- Join a study group... Or better....Create One!
- Talk to your instructors... learn to ask questions
The Final Stretch:
- Check & double-check the final exam schedule
- Check out the timetable for next term
- Sign-up for a course planning workshop if necessary
- Plan your courses for next semester and register as soon as you can
- Consider taking EDUC 1100 (Intro to Higher Education) next semester if things didn't turn out the way you hoped they would and you need a bit of a re-start...
