Instructor Bio
Tom is President of Simple Solar Heating Ltd since 2008. The company focuses on the design, manufacture and installation of Solar Systems. He also is a lead research person for the SAIT Green Building Technology Initiative. From 1999 to 2008 he was the president of Rayton Packaging Inc. and was responsible for the re-structuring of the company which resulted in a doubling of the company size. From 1994 to 1999 he was the General Manager for SPM Calgary Inc. where he was responsible for all aspects of the electronics business. His initial eight years of work experience, starting in 1983, was with Ropak Canada in Delta British Columbia and became the plant manager in Springhill, Nova Scotia. Tom has an MBA from the University Calgary and an "Operations Management Certificate" from the B.C. Institute of Technology
