I am extremely grateful for receiving the Student Research and Innovation Grant from the KPU Office of Research Services. The grant has provided support in my early research career by helping fund my honours thesis project. Through the grant, I was able to collect a sample of community participants and compensate them appropriately. As a result of this grant, I will be able to continue my research work in understanding the drug overdose crisis in British Columbia for many years. Not only has this grant provided funding, but it has also inspired future research work, and I believe it creates opportunities for individuals to learn and grow in their given fields.
