The SRIG funding provided me with a learning opportunity that was beyond anything I could imagine. It allowed me to work in an environment that fostered out-of-the-box thinking and a collaborative approach that most definitely helped me in moments of difficulty during my project. The SRIG also allowed me to contribute to the addition of a 4x objective lens for the confocal microscope in the AGC. This lens alongside other lenses in the microscope contributed heavily to the data gathered for my project. This funding can open the doors to opportunities you would never think were possible.
