I would like to express my gratitude to “KPU SRIG 2023-23” for providing me with the necessary funding for the research visit to Drumheller, Alberta for ARTS 3993 as a research assistant to Dr. Rebecca Yoshizawa on her research project Trilobite Time: Fossils in the Epoch of Humans. From the application process to the award being granted, the Office of Research Services personnels were very professional. A big thank you to Dr. Yoshizawa for recognizing my potential and providing the opportunity for me to be part of this grandiose project. However, as excited as I was for this trip it was not without its challenges, but I have come to learn that everything can be a finding in research. Overall, this research visit has provided me with invaluable knowledge and experience that I could not have acquired within a classroom setting.
