During my capstone project, where I focused in compression and protection apparel of male wheelchair rugby athletes, I was a lucky recipient of The Student Research and Innovation Grant. This program financially supported me through the last stages of my research project with which I was able to obtain resources and materials otherwise out of my personal budget. This grant leveraged the quality and research of my project and provided me with more opportunities along the process as well as reduced my financial stress which allowed me to fully focus on the research and development of the project with less limitations. In addition, I was able to provide the fit models and wear testers with honorariums which increased level of participation.
